Outside Evaluation and Awards
DENSO is highly evaluated of their actions about ESG (environment, society, corporate governance) and becomes the constituent of an index of both domestic and foreign socially responsible investment (SRI) or the fund.
FTSE4 Good Index Series
One of the indexes calculated by the London Stock Exchange—owned FTSE Group that selects component stocks based on their ESG performance, specifically, environmental management, climate change mitigation, human rights and workers' rights, supply chain labor standards, and bribery and corruption prevention.
FTSE4 Blossom Japan Index
DENSO CORPRATION announces it has been included in the FTSE Blossom Japan Index. Created by the global index company FTSE Russell, the FTSE Blossom Japan Index is designed as an industry neutral benchmark that reflects the performance of companies demonstrating strong environmental, social and governance (ESG) practices in Japan.
FTSE Blossom Japan Sector Relative Index
The FTSE Blossom Japan Sector Relative Index is designed to measure the performance of Japanese companies that demonstrate relatively strong environmental, social, and governance (ESG) practices in their respective sectors. To promote the transition to a low-carbon economy, companies with particularly high greenhouse gas emissions are only included if their improvement efforts are recognized based on their TPI Management Quality Score.
MSCI ESG Leaders Indexes
The MSCI ESG Leaders Indexes are offered by the U.S.-based finance company MSCI Inc. These indexes recognize companies that are highly evaluated for their ESG-related initiatives.
MSCI Japan ESG Leaders Indexes
The MSCI Japan ESG Leaders Indexes are also offered by MSCI Inc.
These indexes select companies by industry that are highly evaluated for their ESG-related initiatives from among the companies included in the MSCI Japan IMI Top 500 Index.
S&P/JPX Carbon Efficient Index
The S&P/JPX Carbon Efficient Index is based on the Tokyo Stock Price Index (TOPIX), a representative stock price index that illustrates trends in the Japanese market, and determines the weighting of companies by focusing on their disclosure of environmental information and their level of carbon efficiency (carbon emissions per unit of revenue). By applying such rules as raising the weighting of companies that sufficiently engage in the disclosure of environmental information and companies that have high carbon efficiency (low carbon emissions per unit of revenue), the S&P/JPX Carbon Efficient Index encourages market-wide environmental initiatives and information disclosure with the aim of invigorating the stock market.
