DENSO is highly evaluated of their ations about ESG (environment, society, corporate governance) and becomes the constituent of an index of both domestic and foreign socially responsible investment (SRI) or the fund.

FTSE4Good Index Series

One of the indexes calculated by the London Stock Exchange—owned FTSE Group that selects component stocks based on their ESG performance, specifically, environmental management, climate change mitigation, human rights and workers' rights, supply chain labor standards, and bribery and corruption prevention.

FTSE Russell (the trading name of FTSE International Limited and Frank Russell Company) confirms that Denso Corporation has been independently assessed according to the FTSE4Good criteria, and has satisfied the requirements to become a constituent of the FTSE4Good Index Series. Created by the global index provider FTSE Russell, the FTSE4Good Index Series is designed to measure the performance of companies demonstrating strong Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) practices. The FTSE4Good indices are used by a wide variety of market participants to create and assess responsible investment funds and other products.

FTSE4 Blossom Japan Index

DENSO CORPRATION announces it has been included in the FTSE Blossom Japan Index.

Created by the global index company FTSE Russell, the FTSE Blossom Japan Index is designed as an industry neutral benchmark that reflects the performance of companies demonstrating strong environmental, social and governance (ESG) practices in Japan.

FTSE Russell evaluations are based on performance in areas such as Corporate Governance, Health & Safety, Anti-Corruption and Climate Change. Businesses included in the FTSE Blossom Japan Index meet a variety of environmental, social and governance criteria.”

MSCI SRI Indexes

An index based on MSCI ESG research that more than 1,000 institutional investors use globally,and that integrates various ESG risks into a comprehensive market portfolio.

Ethibel Sustainability Index (ESI) Excellence Global

The Ethibel Excellence Investment Register is an investment universe operated by Forum ETHIBEL, a Belgium-based NGO. Its index comprises companies that display good performance from CSR perspective. Fujitsu has been included since 2013.

Morningstar Socially Responsible Investment Index (MS-SRI)

The Morningstar Socially Responsible Investment Index is Japan’s first socially responsible share index. The index comprises 150 publicly listed Japanese companies that have been evaluated as having outstanding social credentials by Morningstar Japan K.K.

The Morningstar Socially Responsible Investment Index (MS-SRI) is the first socially responsible investment index in Japan. Morningstar Japan K.K. selects 150 companies from among approximately 4,000 listed companies in Japan by assessing their social responsibility, and converts their stock prices into the index. The Morningstar Socially Responsible Investment Index does not guarantee future performances, including those of the stocks that constitute the index. The index is calculated and managed based on data deemed reliable by Morningstar Japan K.K., but the company does not guarantee its accuracy or completeness. Without limiting the matters mentioned above, even where Morningstar Japan K.K. is notified of direct damage, indirect damage, special damage, punitive damage, enhanced damage, or any other damage (including lost earnings), the company will not assume any liability for such damage. Other Evaluations

New Diversity Management Selection 100

In 2016, DENSO received this award, which is given to companies that are improving corporate value via initiatives to maximize diverse human resources through diversity management.

Kurumin Certification

This award, sponsored by the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare, recognizes companies that provide excellent child-rearing support based on the Act on Advancement of Measures to Support Raising Next-Generation Children. DENSO received this award in 2009 and 2015.

Health & Productivity Stock

Under the Japan Revitalization Strategy, this joint initiative by the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry and the Tokyo Stock Exchange selects companies with a management focus on employee health and that proactively undertake initiatives in this regard, designating them as “health and productivity stocks.” DENSO has received this designation for two consecutive years.

Superior Health & Productivity Companies (the White 500) Program

This program, which is jointly promoted by the Tokyo Stock Exchange and Nippon Kenko Kaigi (Japan Health Council), is not restricted to listed companies and recognizes large corporations that implement superior health and productivity management in collaboration with health insurers. DENSO has been recognized for two consecutive years, beginning in 2017.
