DENSO to Postpone Construction Work and Production Start of New Company in Fukushima, Japan

KARIYA (Japan) - DENSO Corporation announced today that it will postpone the construction work and production start of a production company - DENSO East Japan Corporation - established in Fukushima, Japan in April 2008. The postpone was decided considering the current severe economic conditions and declining vehicle production.

DENSO East Japan is necessary to strengthen DENSO's manufacturing system in Japan. Considering the recovery of economic and auto industry situations, DENSO aims to start the operations of DENSO East Japan around spring in 2011.
