1986
Establishment of 1st DENSO factory in India by the name of SRF Nippon DENSO
1984 - Established 1st factory as a Joint venture with SRF India under the name SRF NIPPONDENSO India Ltd.
1986 - SRF NIPPONDENSO started the production of electrical parts for 4 wheelers.
Founded SUBROS Ltd. as a Joint venture with SUZUKI Corporation and Suri Family for the production of automotive Air-Conditioners.
1990s - 2000s
Expansion of DENSO to 3 manufacturing units to cover both Northern and Southern India
1991 – Entered into a Technical Agreement with Pricol Limited.
1993 – SRF NIPPONDENSO India Ltd. came under the management control of NIPPONDENSO and changed it’s name to NIPPONDENSO India Ltd. in Greater Noida (Uttar Pradesh).
1994 – Entered into Technical Assistance Agreement with Lucas – TVS.
1996 – Name changed from NIPPONDENSO India Ltd. to DENSO India Ltd. (DNIN).
1997 – Acquired 12.5% stakes in Pricol Limited.
1998 – Established 2nd manufacturing unit DENSO Kirloskar Industries Pvt. Ltd. (DNKI) at Bengaluru (Karanataka).
1999 – Established Sales Office DENSO Sales India Pvt. Ltd. (DSIN) in Delhi.
1999 – Established 3rd manufacturing unit DENSO Haryana Pvt. Ltd. in Manesar (Haryana).
2000s - 2010s
Further Expansion of DENSO manufacturing base in India
2001 – Grand Opening Ceremony of DENSO Haryana Pvt. Ltd. as a formal launch to cater North based 4 wheeler manufacturers like MARUTI SUZUKI Pvt. Ltd.
2008 – DENSO India established it’s 2nd manufacturing Unit in Haridwar.
2010s - Today
2nd stage Expansion of DENSO in India
2010 – DENSO Sales India Pvt. Ltd. restructured as a Regional Headquarters for India Region to steer the regional management and re-named as DENSO International India Pvt. Ltd.
2011 – Established DENSO Subros Thermal Engineering Centre India Ltd. (DSEC) as a Design Centre in collaboration with SUBROS.
2012 – Corporate Office of DENSO International India Pvt. Ltd. shifted to Manesar.
2012 – DENSO Haryana Pvt. Ltd. opened it’s 2nd manufacturing unit in Jhajjhar (Haryana).
2012 - Established 7th Global DENSO Research & Development Centre to focus Innovation and Engineering application for Indian situations at Manesar as a part of DENSO International India Pvt. Ltd.
2012 - Established 9th Global DENSO Technical Training Centre to focus Service Dealer training and OEM support at Manesar as a part of DENSO International India Pvt. Ltd.
2013 - DENSO India established it’s 2nd Unit in Bengaluru to cater Southern manufacturers.
2013 – Established Cluster meter factory in South and North - Coimbatore and Manesar, as a Joint venture with Pricol Limited by the name DENSO Pricol India Ltd. (DPIN).
2014 – Delisting of DENSO India Ltd.
2015 – ECM Production entrustment from DENSO to Subros.
2016 – DPIN got merged into DNHA
