Established in 2016 in Lindau in the south of Germany and on the borders with Austria and Switzerland, DENSO has invested in ADAS computer vision, by establishing a research and development center.

DENSO ADAS Engineering Services GmbH (DNAE) was established to further strengthen technical advances for state-of-the-art camera based algorithm development.

Mobility of the future, in particular Autonomous Driving, requires highly advanced technologies to perceive the vehicle’s environment.

DNAE works within DENSO’s Global Safety Group, collaborating for advanced technology development. DNAE’s primary focus is to contribute to the autonomous driving domain by providing advanced development for surround camera based technologies for embedded systems.

These advanced developments transfer into DENSO's next generation products. The technologies that are developed at the technical center in Lindau, enable an abstract representation of the vehicle’s surroundings, allowing the vehicle to safely perform driving maneuvers by avoiding obstacles such as pedestrians and other road users.
