In 2019, Andy became involved in the early stages of the Digital Distribution Center (DDC) journey, where autonomous mobile robots were introduced. Recognizing the potential to reduce repetitive manual work and improve efficiency, he began building his expertise in automation technologies.

Through training and hands-on experience, including MIR Gold Commissioner accreditation, Andy developed the skills required to manage automation systems in live environments. His work has contributed to several key initiatives, including:

  • Integration of Agilox systems

  • Deployment of Mobile Industrial Robots

  • Digital process improvements using Microsoft Forms, SharePoint, and Power Automate

Today, as DDC Cell Leader and Automation Lead, Andy plays a central role in ensuring the smooth operation of automation systems while supporting the teams who work alongside them.
