JDEUS in Portugal

Thanks to the experience acquired during 100 years of existence, JDEUS is proud of having advanced know-how on R&D, production and supply of Automotive Thermal System Products with high quality and performance. Currently located at 40 km from Lisbon, JDEUS has 15.000m2 covered area, high-tech equipment and software, advanced know-how, in-house development and manufacture of molds, toolinngs and equipment, more than 300 employees and more than 100 years of experience. All these assets have powered JDEUS to be a well-known OE supplier manufacturing more than 1.5 million Intercoolers per year for the most important car makers.

More than OE

Two different markets but with something in common: Original Equipment Quality Standards. New aftermarket products are constantly being introduced thanks to the JDEUS R&D team as well as partnerships with selected suppliers who fulfill JDEUS Purchasing Quality Standards. A dedicated warehouse for the aftermarket business has a stock capacity of 50.000 pieces.

DENSO in Europe

Established in 1972

Continuous expansion throughout Europe

Since the Dutch had already introduced Japanese culture into European society in the 17th century, DENSO’s first representative office was established in Amsterdam, The Netherlands, in 1972. One year later its regional headquarters, Nippondenso Europe (now DENSO International Europe), was established in Weesp. Since then DENSO Europe has expanded to include sales and manufacturing companies across the region.

Establishment of JDEUS Company

João de Deus & Filhos was founded in 1914 with the name of his founder.
The company started as a radiator repair workshop located in the center of Lisbon.

1965

JDEUS becomes OEM supplier

For the first time, JDEUS becomes OEM supplier for the existing assembly lines in Portugal.

1984

JDEUS expands to Europe

First Aftermarket exports to Europe.

1988

JDEUS expands in Portugal

Starts developing a sales network to cover the Aftermarket in Portugal by creating 2 local shops, Lisbon and Porto.

1991

JDEUS expands in Portugal

Building of high-class facilities needed to increase production capacity and elevate quality standards, located in Samora Correia, 60km from Lisbon.

1992

JDEUS upgraded

Installation of the first Brazed Aluminum production line.

1993

JDEUS expands to Spain

Establishment of a subsidiary in Madrid as to internationalize the Aftermarket sales network and have a complete coverage of the Iberia region.

1995

JDEUS develops

First development of an OEM Intercooler for Audi/VW.

1996

JDEUS and Magneti Marelli

The company was acquired by Magneti Marelli and enters the Thermal Systems Division.

1999

JDEUS develops

First development of OEM Intercoolers for Fiat Group.

2001

JDEUS and DENSO

JDEUS is introduced into DENSO Group by acquiring Magneti Marelli Thermal Systems.

2002

JDEUS obtains certifications

Implementation of ISO TS 16949 and ISO 14001 Certifications.

2003

JDEUS supplier

JDEUS becomes supplier of OEM Intercoolers for Toyota for the models Corolla and Avensis.

2005-2010

JDEUS develops

First development of OEM Intercoolers for Porsche, General Motors, Peugeot and Honda.

2013

New product introduction

Construction of NPI (New Product Introduction) facilities consisting of an advanced technical building that integrates R&D, Prototype area as well as Functional and Durability Testing.

2014
