Developed an all-electric car able to drive 122 miles on a single charge to help mitigate global gas shortages.

1968 / 1980's
The Integrated Circuits Research Center was established in 1968, anticipating the shift to electric vehicles. In the 1980’s DENSO developed the first in vehicle semi-conductor. Today semi conductor sensors are in every vehicle.

DENSO's robotics division was established.

The first practical robot was implemented at DENSO headquarters in the 1970’s. In 2018, DENSO introduced Cobotta, its first collaborative robot.
2020

During COVID, DENSO supplied components to an OEM's respirator program and donated face shields, both of which supported first responders across multiple states.
