Sustainability activities in North America

  • Sustainability activity

Sustainability is at the heart of who we are. In North America, we’re committed to the communities where we’re privileged to operate – and demonstrate this by giving back to our communities and embracing an environmentally friendly approach.

  • Sustainability activity

We have a long history of supporting the communities with charitable donations and volunteer hours where employees can donate time to their favorite charitable organization. In fact, we’re proud to share, we’ve given $47+ million in charitable contributions and 87,000+ in volunteer hours since 2001. Focus areas include K-12 education, workforce and skills development, road safety and community needs. More details can be found at DENSO’s North American Foundation website, our Corporate Citizenship Activities website, and our global Corporate Social Responsibility website.

  • Sustainability activity

Across North America, we’ve also implemented projects that promote and encourage our local sites and employees to operate in more environmentally friendly ways. Projects include ecoParks, native and low-water plantings, changes to be more energy efficient and waste management improvements. These projects strongly align with our commitment to our Environmental policy we call Eco Vision, and to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.
