Coordination of Benefits (COB)
If you or a family member are covered by two or more medical plans, COB determines which plan pays first (primary) and which plan pays second (secondary). If DENSO’s plan pays secondary, it will only pay if the primary plan paid less than DENSO’s plan would have if it were primary. DENSO’s plan will always be secondary to any medical or personal injury payments under an auto policy. The maximum combined payment you can expect from all plans cannot exceed 100% of the total allowable charge. Therefore, having dual coverage is not always the best choice financially.
Contact the UHC member services number to discuss COB at 844-749-7834.
Login to your UHC Account to update your COB information.

Prescription Information
DENSO's pharmacy benefit manager is Optum Rx. There are over 65,000 pharmacies in the Optum Rx network. Check the Optum Rx formulary list to see if your medication is covered. If drugs are on the Optum Rx formulary, they are preferred over drugs not listed. Drugs not listed in the formulary may be excluded from coverage.
Flyer: Learn more about your Optum Rx Prescription Coverage
Covered drugs fall into one of four tiers: Generic, Preferred, Non-preferred, or Specialty.
There are typically changes to the formulary drug list twice a year, in January and in July. Optum Rx sends a letter to impacted members before a drug changes tiers or is removed from the list. Drugs may be added to the formulary throughout the year.
Below are the links to the current formularies and prescription drug lists. For more information, go to welcome.optumrx.com/denso or call the Optum Rx member service line at 844-898-8636.
