SOUTHFIELD, Mich., (Sept. 12, 2020) – DENSO, a leading mobility supplier, has been named to the annual list of America’s Best-in-State Employers by Forbes magazine and market research company Statista. DENSO was recognized in North Carolina by employees who like working at the company, feel safe at work and have had opportunities for advancement. On last year’s inaugural list, DENSO was recognized in Michigan and Tennessee.

“This distinction is one we’re very proud of, as it shows our employees feel appreciated and inspired, and that DENSO is a place to grow their careers,” said Kenichiro Ito, senior executive officer for DENSO Corporation and chief executive officer of DENSO's North American Headquarters. “We’re especially pleased to see our employees, on the production floor, in office settings and working remotely, feel safe in their work environments. Safety is at the core of everything we do, this year especially, which is why we’ve implemented stringent safety protocols to minimize risks presented by coronavirus and to protect our employees and communities.”

In April 2019, DENSO’s manufacturing facility in North Carolina, formerly known as ASMO North Carolina, Inc., became a more integral part of DENSO’s North America Motors Business group. The integration enhanced collaboration, advanced electrification and automated driving technologies, and accelerated R&D to create new value for the future of mobility. About 1,500 employees there produce blower motors, power seat motors, windshield wiper systems, and more.

Forbes and Statista selected America’s Best-In-State Employers based on an anonymous survey of more than 80,000 U.S. employees working for companies employing at least 500 people in their U.S. operations. The respondents were asked to rate their employers on a variety of criteria, including safety of work environment, competitiveness of compensation, opportunities for advancement and openness to telecommuting.

Statista then asked respondents how likely they’d be to recommend their employer to others, and to nominate organizations in industries outside their own. The final list ranks the 1,461 employers that received the greatest number of recommendations in 50 states and the District of Columbia.
