March 24 Update: DENSO's Response to COVID-19 Shelter-in-Place Orders

Mar. 24, 2020

Southfield, Mich. (March 24, 2020) – COVID-19’s impact on society continues to intensify. In response, multiple states in which DENSO operates – California, Indiana, Michigan, Ohio and Washington – have issued shelter-in-place orders. DENSO is committed to keeping its employees and the greater society safe, and will fully comply with these orders.

Each mandate is unique to the circumstances in each state, and DENSO continues to work closely with its local government and industry association partners to better understand what the different directives mean for the company, its employees and operations.

More specifically, DENSO is investigating:

  • Impacts on customers and suppliers in states under shelter-in-place orders and other parts of the U.S.
  • Manufacturing areas that may be considered essential, in addition to automotive aftermarket and service manufacturing
  • Roles and responsibilities critical to business operations, such as facility maintenance, building security, IT infrastructure to support work from home, and payroll

We urge our employees and communities to comply with shelter-in-place orders, in addition to limiting personal interaction and practicing social distancing.

DENSO is committed to sharing important and timely information during this difficult time, and will share more updates as details emerge.
