DRIVEN BASE

NOTICE OF VIDEO COLLECTION

We are using cameras to collect video to assist in the development of camera, self-driving vehicle technology, advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS), and smart city applications .  Our cameras are onboard our test vehicles which are clearly marked with an external sticker that provides notice of this data collection, and how to obtain more information about our privacy policy. We also have cameras set up at various locations which may or may not be near test vehicles; however, the camera tripods will be clearly marked with a sticker that provides notice of this data collection and how to obtain more information about our privacy policy.

Our test vehicles, which began operating in late 2019, are being driven on public roads in the United States and Canada, and collect high definition video images of their surroundings, along with other vehicle data.

We do not and will not use data collected from test vehicles to identify particular human beings or vehicle license plate numbers.  Where possible, we will make reasonable efforts to blur identifying information detected in video images, including faces and license plate numbers.  If you do not want us to take a video image of you, please avoid our test vehicles.

We may transfer data collected from test vehicles to service providers and to our affiliates and business partners, including outside of the United States and Canada.  Videos we share may be de-identified, and shared for purposes including product development and improvement.

If you have any questions, or if you believe that we may have taken a video image of you and you want us to delete such image, please contact us at na-diam-na_privacy@na.denso.com or 1-833-957-2199.  Please provide us with the date, time, and specific location that you were in the proximity of the test vehicle.
