How DENSO Supported India During COVID-19 by DENSO “Great Cause”
We have been committed to giving back to society from the very beginning by carrying out various initiatives towards the betterment of community in neighboring villages.

From 2017 DNKI has been promoting CSR with the focus of “SDG” and “Great Cause” – “Green & Peace of Mind”.
One of the DENSO Culture key words coined by DNKI due it’s strong promotion of social contribution activities is:

A reflection of its commitment to creating a Better Future for our Earth, working to create awareness and responsibility in Team Members & their Family, to create a Sustainable Environment in the Local Region, and co-exist in harmony where we are present.

In 2019, DNKI built the school for 250 students by using the funds of 2017, 2018, and 2019 CSR. The handing over ceremony was attended by DNJP members and the government authorities and local leaders.

In 2020, DENSO India extended its commitment to community well-being by addressing critical healthcare needs amid the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic. A significant initiative was the provision of a state-of-the-art Mobile ICU Ambulance equipped with Advanced Cardiac Life Support to the Local Public Health Services in Nelamangala. This initiative aimed not only to bolster the healthcare infrastructure but also emphasized the importance of fostering a sense of Peace of Mind within the community during these challenging times.
Continuing their dedication to Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), DNKI took a momentous step in 2022 by implementing a water-centric solution for three neighboring villages. This comprehensive CSR activity focused on achieving carbon neutrality through solar solutions and promoting sustainable water management. The initiative included the installation of solar-powered systems, ensuring a carbon-neutral approach while addressing the villages’ water scarcity concerns. Additionally, DENSO India implemented a ground-water recharging strategy to sustainably manage water resources, ensuring continuous availability for the communities. This multi-faceted approach reflects DENSO India’s holistic commitment to environmental responsibility and community well-being.

DNKI arranged provision of essential water service to all 3 villages and used Solar Pumps for lifting and distributing water and also made Water check dam to store rainwater to recharge the earth.

DENSO’s Contribution to Support Coronavirus Control for Indian Society
In such a time, DENSO’s engineers decided to put their skills and expertise to use to help those on the frontline. They envisioned a face shield that could protect medical professionals, hospital staff, police, and government officials from the virus’s direct exposure.

As an expression of the DENSO ‘Spirit’ of Consideration and Fulfilment towards society, DENSO Engineers decided to produce Face shield to support Doctors, Hospital workers, Police, Government officers directly interacting Covid-19 in any form.
Despite challenging circumstances, over a period of only 2 weeks team came up with 2 Designs of Headband for both External & Internal use.
Digitizing India – CSR Initiatives to set up computer labs in school.
2022. DIIN set up 2 Computer Labs on 17th May at Government Senior Secondary School, Bhangrola Village (6 KMs from DIIN)
As DENSO’s engineers were busy creating the face shields, the company’s Indian arm, DIIN, was also stepping up to help the local community.
On May 17th, 2022, DIIN installed two computer labs at the Government Senior Secondary School in Bhangrola Village. The village is located six kilometers from DIIN, and the school had been struggling to provide its students with quality education due to a lack of resources.
DIIN’s team worked tirelessly to build and renovate two new labs and install 44 new computers. The team also supplied modular furniture, including workstations, chairs, and boards, to ensure that the students had a comfortable and conducive learning environment.
The installation of the computer labs at the school was a significant milestone for DIIN. The company’s commitment to improving the lives of those around them was evident in the work they did. As DIIN’s Managing Director said, “DIIN will continue to work towards fulfilling its corporate social responsibility, and we hope that this project will provide a better learning environment for the children in the village.”
