

On 2 July 2018, Mr.Yasushi Nakamura, President and Mr.Tatsuaki Hiratani, Vice President of Siam DENSO Manufacturing Co., Ltd. (SDM) gave their honors in the opening ceremony of the 7.8 megawatts Cogeneration Power Plant. With the objective to increase the energy efficiency, eliminate waste and reduce Carbon Dioxide (CO2) emission from the manufacturing process of SDM & SKD’s factory. This project will also support SDM & SKD to achieve the 50 % energy saving by year 2025 with the financial support from Japan government in the international agreement (Join Crediting Mechanism) to reduce Carbon Dioxide (CO2) emission.
Cogeneration or combined heat and power (CHP) is the use of a heat engine or power station to generate electricity and useful heat at the same time. Currently, Cogeneration is the most effective and efficient form of power generation.
