DENSO MaaS Architecture consists of two major technologies:
Mobility IoT Core, which digitizes a vehicle’s condition with a high degree of accuracy and sends vehicle data to the cloud. Mobility IoT Core enables real-time data collection and device control.
Digital Twin, which reproduces the real world in a virtual digital space, using the data collected through Mobility IoT Core. Digital Twin provides actionable space-time information to various service providers to help them easily provide their unique services.
Data from vehicles using Mobility IoT Core will communicate in real time to the cloud through high-precision data collection and reliable data transmission functions. With gateway technology that enables simultaneous connection of several million vehicles, the collected data is stored in a space-time database known as Digital Twin. Digital Twin represents what happens in the real world in a digital space in real time. You can access Digital Twin by designating time, location, vehicle, device, and other characteristics.
The Mobility IoT Core and Digital Twin technologies allow various mobility service providers to analyze data and control vehicles safely from the cloud, facilitating the matching of vehicles with appropriate services and leading to significant reduction in development periods and costs.

A digital twin is the virtual representation of an actual real-world physical object. By using digital twin technology, DENSO can map all vehicles that exist in an actual city environment to create a duplicate virtual space. The digital twin collects real-time data including road environments, travel demands, health conditions of drivers, and much more. Then it analyzes and provides actionable data to service providers, including administrative agencies and service shops, to facilitate repairs and maintenance.
