Shinnosuke Hayashi is representative member of the board, president & CEO of DENSO Corporation, headquartered in Kariya, Aichi, Japan.
Hayashi graduated from Waseda University with a science and engineering degree. In 1986, he joined DENSO Corporation (formerly Nippondenso Co., Ltd.), and was assigned to the Electronics Engineering Division where he worked on the development, mass production and global business development of the engine ECU of the world's first fully electronic control diesel common rail system as a software engineer.
After that, Hayashi served as director of Electronics Engineering Division 3 and project director of Electronics Manufacturing Division, and then named executive director of DENSO Corporation in June 2015. He promoted an electronics platform for integrated control of the entire vehicle system. He also led business reform and new products planning in the mobility electronics field.
In June 2020, he was appointed to chief software officer (CSwO) and was promoted to senior executive officer, of DENSO Corporation in January 2021. He drove company-wide reforms to improve the value of the vehicle based on software.
Hayashi was appointed to head of the Mobility Electronics Business Group in 2022 and was appointed to representative member of the board, president in June 2023.
