Yukihiro Shinohara is Representative Member of the Board of Directors and Senior Executive Officer of DENSO Corporation, headquartered in Kariya, Aichi, Japan.

Shinohara graduated from Keio University with an engineering degree. In 1982, he joined DENSO Corporation (formerly Nippondenso Co.,Ltd), and was assigned to SOKEN Inc. (formerly Nippon Soken) where he worked on the research of engine combustion and the development of engine combustion systems.

In 1991, he was assigned Diesel Systems Business Unit in DENSO Corporation, he worked on the development of engine injection system to realize high-efficiency combustion and he developed the Common Rail System, which realize 2000 bar pressure as global first product.

In 2011, he was assigned Executive Director and lead the Powertrain business. In 2015, he was assigned the Head of Electrification System Business Unit and he contributed for business reorganization and establish new JV companies to support the development of DENSO electrification business and realize one trillion yen scale of business. In June 2020, he was assigned CCRO (Chief Corporate Revolution Officer) to change associates mind and Corporate culture. Then he was assigned CQO (Chief Quality Officer) in January 2021, and Representative Member of the Board of Directors and Senior Executive Officer in June 2021, and Executive Vice President in January 2022.
