KARIYA (Japan) –Global automotive supplier DENSO will exhibit a wide range of products and technologies in the areas of safety and the environment at Auto Shanghai 2015. The show will be held in Shanghai, China April 22 - 29 and is open to the public. DENSO's exhibition booth is located at 52E 101.

Safety

DENSO’s main display, called the Interactive Communication Cockpit, will showcase DENSO’s future driver-assist technologies to improve driver safety. To help driver’s keep their hands on the wheel and eyes on the road, the cockpit features a large-screen head-up display (HUD) that projects important and critical information on the windshield, like road signs, vehicle speed and potential road hazards, like pedestrians, oncoming vehicles or obstacles. In addition, the cockpit can notify driver’s of upcoming hazards with sound and light to ensure safety.

DENSO will show video of its advanced driving support system, which reduces driver workload and assists safe driving by automated driving and automatic lane change. DENSO tested this technology on a public road in Japan and demonstrated at 2014 ITS World Congress last year. The video will show those activities and introduce DENSO has been developing its technology to achieve safer and more reliable driving.

Environment

In the area of the environment, DENSO will display injectors, high-pressure pumps and other products for gasoline direct injection systems, as well as products for hybrid and electric vehicles. Furthermore, the company will display stop/start system-related products, like its lithium-ion battery packs, which stores regenerated power and then supplies the stored regenerated power to the electrical and electronic components, such as the car navigation and audio systems. The company also will display its cold storage evaporator, which maintains a supply of cool air to the vehicle cabin to avoid a cabin temperature increase while the air-conditioning is powered down when the vehicle is at idle.

DENSO will continue to develop technologies and products to help significantly improve safety and greatly increase fuel efficiency.
