Kariya (Japan) -DENSO Corporation today announced that it will hold the first program for the "DENSO YOUTH for EARTH Action," an international educational project, from July 29 - Aug. 10 in Hokkaido and Aichi, Japan.

During the 13-day program, 24 students invited from colleges and graduate schools in Japan and Thailand will learn how local communities and companies are helping protect the environment. Based on what they learn on site, the participants will look at environmental issues from various angles and discuss how to build a sustainable society. As a follow-up, students will present their ideas at a forum held in Aichi on Oct. 24 - 25.

The purpose of the "DENSO YOUTH for EARTH Action" project is to provide young people with an opportunity to learn about environmental issues from different perspectives for the development of a sustainable society.

Beginning next year, plans are to include other countries in the Asian region, and eventually throughout the world, providing young people an international environmental study program.
