DENSO Announces Results on Acquisition of Own Shares Through ToSTNeT-3

Kariya (Japan) -DENSO Corporation (the "Company") announced that it has acquired its own shares, following the announcement made on October 31, 2012, as follows, and that it has completed the acquisition resolved at its Board of Directors meeting held on October 31, 2012.

  1. Reason for acquisition of own shares
    The Company decided to acquire its own shares with the aim of improving capital efficiency and ensuring a flexible strategy in the future.
  2. Details of acquisition
    (1) Type of shares acquired: DENSO Corporation common stock
    (2) Number of shares acquired: 11,000,000 shares
      (1.36% of the total number of issued shares (excluding treasury stock))
    (3) Price paid for total shares: ¥27,489,000,000 (¥2,499 per share)
    (4) Date of acquisition: November 1, 2012
    (5) Method of acquisition: Transactions through ToSTNeT-3 (Tokyo Stock Exchange Trading NeTwork System)
