DENSO Announces New Group for Procurement Activities
KARIYA (Japan) - DENSO Corporation today announced that it will establish a Procurement Group as part of its business organization. The change will become effective Jan. 1, 2009.
"Our goal for this organizational change is to concentrate our procurement functions and further strengthen expertise in that area," said Nobuaki Katoh, president and CEO of DENSO Corporation.
With the change, the Procurement Department, currently part of the Corporate Center, and the procurement functions in each business group will be moved to the Procurement Group.
The Procurement Group will be added to DENSO's current business organization consisting of: Corporate Center; Administration Center; Engineering Research & Development Center; Production Promotion Center; Sales Group; Powertrain Control Systems Business Group; Electric Systems Business Group; Electronic Systems Business Group; Thermal Systems Business Group, and Information & Safety System Business Group.
