DENSO Corporate Identity Design System

Simple coloring style

The simple coloring style is clean, almost monochromatic in its visual expression. This way of coloring is well suited to explaining technology and complex systems effectively. Only the core colors of DENSO Red (+ a splash of dark red occasionally), Crafting Blue, white and Deep Blue, are used in this style, a coloring style strongly linked to our overall visual identity.

Monochromatic color series

Functional color usage

Abstract and almost monochromatic color usage of primary and supplementary colors may be used to differentiate, such as the covers on a series of releases. The almost monochromatic illustrations create a perfect surface for placing text on top. Please note that DENSO Red, white and Deep Blue are used across all cover illustrations.
When used for gradient background elements, the supplementary colors can be tinted from 100–0%.

Isometric illustrations

Gradient

  • isometric-img-direction-02

Gradient colors are used for the background scenery, which is the major part of an isometric drawing. The use of gradients adds depth to the illustration and emphasizes the sense of perspective.

Gradient colors can be created in the range of 100% to 0% of Crafting blue.

Gradient Direction

  • isometric-img-direction-03

The gradient should always flow from right to left. This will create a three-dimensional visual effect.

Enhanced Colors

Use DENSO red for the part of the illustration you want to emphasize. This will help the object to stand out from the Crafting Blue background.
Use a color that is one tone darker than DENSO red for the shadows to make the red object you want to highlight appear three-dimensional.
